Matt Neubauer: lead investigator/trainer
"I come from a law enforcement and investigatory background. I have witnessed several things that I simply cannot explain, however, that does not stop me from trying. I will exhaust every avenue trying to debunk something before I am willing to call it paranormal. I believe that there are many things in this world yet to be discovered. Just because we don't understand them, doesn't mean they don't exist.
I am open minded and willing to talk to people about about anything in the field- ranging from ghosts and spirits, to aliens, and maybe even the occasional Big Foot. I embrace skeptics and believers alike. Because of my background, I also have the ability to quickly route out a hoax and simply will not tolerate it. I am excited to continue working with Ashlee and the newly formed SRPI team. I cannot wait to see what new experiences await me."
Matt has come with me from my previous team Fairfield Paranormal Investigators. He has been a faithful and dedicated member from the beginning and has earned his role as lead investigator with his overflowing list of experience and investigations under his belt. He is serious when necessary, but brings so much joy and entertainment to our dynamic team. -Ashlee S.
Hannah Clay: investigator
My name is Hannah Clay, and I was born and raised in Fairfield, OH. I am the youngest of 3 girls made by my amazing parents. I currently have no kids, but I do have one fur baby! Her name is Carmella, she is a pitbull and the best baby a fur mom could ask for! I am a Libra, and I believe that speaks a lot on my personality. I currently hold a full time job at a drug rehab facility in Cincinnati, OH. My main goal in life is to make paranormal investigating my full time job/career!
I have been interested in the paranormal as long as I can remember. I have had countless experiences of things that I can't quite explain. From when I was born up until I was about 5, I lived in an old farm house on Symmes Rd. in Fairfield. The home was about 100 years old when we lived in the house and was SUPER haunted! Needless to say, this is where my first experiences took place.
The bedroom that was mine had a door that lead up to the attic of the house. This door used to open and close on its own in the middle of the night and it used to terrify me! So being just a little kid, I would run into either my parents room or one of my sisters room to sneak into their beds to sleep. One night, after my maternal grandmother had passed, I woke up as usual in the middle of the night to the door opening and went to leave the bedroom but something stopped me in my tracks. When I looked up, I saw what was my maternal grandmothers full body apparition standing in the doorway and she wouldn't let me pass! I remember not being afraid, just more so confused on why she wouldn't let me out of the room. Then I remember a calming feeling, so I turned around and laid back down in bed and went right to sleep. I was only 4 years old when this happened, so I didn't understand exactly what I was experiencing. Looking back on this moment, I believe my grandmother was trying to ensure me that I was safe and nothing was there to harm me.
So as I stated before, I have been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. I love watching ghost hunting shows and scary movies! Also, of course, Halloween is my favorite time of the year! All of this has stood true for me since I was very young, and has never changed!
I also do consider myself as a sensitive to the paranormal. I have a very strong intuition and I would say the best way to describe my abilities would be to say i'm an empath. Luckily, Ashlee and I have crossed paths and she is able and willing to help me build and strengthen my abilities!
I believe everything happens for a reason and you should listen to the universe when it speaks to you. I realized I had an attachment towards the end of 2017 and started seeking a medium. That is actually how Ashlee and I first met! When she came to my home to do the reading, I told her I was seeking a group to join in order to become a paranormal investigator. It just so happened she was starting SRPI and was looking for an additional investigator for the team! Now, here we are! I couldn't be more happy to be living out my dream and doing the ONLY thing I am passionate about in life!"
Hannah is extremely passionate and dedicated to her growing work as a paranormal investigator. I see a lot of the same drive and passion in her that I see in myself. I am excited to work alongside her, grow her skills as an investigator, and help her expand her abilities and confidence as a fellow sensitive. -Ashlee S.
Ted Hester: technology manager/ investigator
"My name is Ted Hester, also known in certain small circles as Metal Ted. For a living I specialize in Shipping, Receiving, Equipment Operation, and Inventory Control, but my hobbies and passions range from music, to electronics, to science and philosophy.
My interest in the paranormal began in my early 20's after a series of unexplained events spanning a period of a few months while giving music lessons at a friends house. These events ranged from hearing voices, to objects moving seemingly on their own, to doors being pounded on with no one on the other side. At this point in time I had never heard of Paranormal Investigation and had no clue how to begin to approach these events.
After many years I've still never found my answers for the things that occurred back then, but have now finally reached a point of stability in my life to afford the time to look in to it further, and have found a group of people to help me learn how to do so.
Unlike some of SRPI's other members, I do not find myself to be sensitive to these other realms or beings (or at least not yet), so my main contributions to the group will be more in the vein of technology, analysis, and debunking efforts."
I am so pleased to have Ted on our team! He is skilled in technology, analysis & editing, and is largely in charge of the teams equipment. He has a curiosity that is hiding within a shell of skepticism. For these reasons I feel he will be an excellent investigator, and the perfect addition to the team. I look forward to watching his spiritual connection and curiosity grow as he dives deeper in to more investigations. -Ashlee S.
Conner Neubauer: investigator
"My name is Conner Neubauer and I’m a honor student in high school. I have always been interested in the paranormal. Just because we don’t understand what is out there doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Anyone can learn about the paranormal you just have to go out and look for it. "
I am so pleased to see Matt's son's joining the SRPI team! Conner is well on his way to being a great investigator, even though he has very few words to share with you all. We have discovered he likely possesses some of Matt's sensitive abilities and are working on discovering the degree of his abilities. I am excited to witness Conner grow in discovering his capabilities and learn all about the paranormal field. -Ashlee S.
Spencer Neubauer: investigator
"Spencer Neubauer was a honor student throughout high school. He has had encounters that he can’t explain. He doesn’t have much experience in the paranormal field, but he wants to learn more about it. He has an open mind to the paranormal field."
Much like his brother Spencer has few words to share for his bio. When we are lucky enough to have him join us (when he's not working) I have witnessed so much great potential as an investigator. He's a quick learner and like the other men in his family seems to be discovering his sensitive side. He shares his dad's quick wit making me question having them both on the team... Just kidding. We all love this family, and love welcoming them into the SRPI family!
"For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in anything paranormal. When I was really young I would watch the ghost marathons on the Travel Channel with my grandfather. I really love learning about the history of places and having that mystery of having a piece of that history being left behind in the form of energy.
I have a background in museums and historic sites, having worked for the majority of them in Butler County and now making even more connections in my hometown of Cincinnati. I have been on many amateur ghost hunts but never have seen or witnessed any paranormal activity of any kind. I am so excited to become a member of this team and learn more about the trade in general. I am also excited to learn more about the history of the tristate in the process."
Kelsey came to us with all the perfect qualities and experience. We are so excited to have someone with such great historical knowledge and connections in our area (that also isn't afraid to make some phone calls). She is sure to fit right in with all the members of our team and we can't wait for her to start joining us on some investigations and start her training as an investigator! Welcome Kelsey! -Ashlee S.
Ashlee Welborn: marketing manager & Investigator
"I’m a small town girl with a huge interest in all things paranormal. Even when I was very young, I had a knack for feeling a place out without realizing it. Just recently when I met Ashlee (founder of this group), she helped me achieve that A-ha! moment of making sense of everything I’ve ever dealt with but couldn’t understand. When she told me she was also a paranormal investigator, I basically joined the group without asking permission. This opportunity is absolutely a dream come true! I really have to thank all of the members for accepting me with open arms.
I have two children ages 6 and 3, so I’m usually at home with them living the stay-at-home-mom life. A couple nights during the weekends, however, I serve craft beer and delicious food at the local British style pub. I’m hoping the connections I make there will help give the edge we need to investigate more awesome places! This group is super special and has what it takes to really open up people’s minds."
Ashlee (yes, two of us with the same spelling!) came to us after I did a reading for her. I knew almost instantly she had a role to play with our team, even though she thinks she forced her way in. I invited her to attend an investigation with us and the rest was history. She meshes well with the whole group and will be helping us with marketing and scheduling, leaving Kelsey room to spend the time needed in the history/research department. Ashlee is also in-training as an investigator. We are so happy to have her join SRPI! Welcome, Ashlee! -Ashlee S.
